“Focus should be on the process rather than the outcome.” Ever since I was tiny I’ve marvelled at nature’s treasures and their endless ability to inspire creativity from season to season. One of the simplest and most contemplative ways to work with nature itself, without the need for any other craft materials at all, is to create beautiful mandalas – or circular patterns – out of wild flowers, leaves, berries, pebbles and shells. I’m careful to take only what’s bountiful and can be spared, and everything can always be returned to nature again.
