Atia makes the most of her garden while the days are long and the flowers are in coming into full bloom

It’s that time of year when we all spend more time outdoors in the sunshine. I’ve been working on the garden and trying to make it a bit prettier with lots of summer containers on the patio. Last year, I made a planter from an old pallet and it’s still going strong, filled with herbs and bright, scented geraniums. We've been planting as many strawberry plants as we can fit in our little fruit bed, and I’ve created a new vegetable patch where we are growing courgettes, salad leaves, rainbow chard, and tomatoes. I found some slate labels which hang on crooks to make the patch a bit prettier, and I've also planted some cosmos and zinnia among the vegetables for some colour.
