FRINGED LAMPSHADE

Adding a touch of vintage glamour has never been this effortless

MATERIALS • Velvet lampshade• 9cm- and 5cm-wide fringe trim, slightly longer than the circumference of the lampshade• Measuring tape• Scissors• Hot glue gun or fabric glue• Clothes pegs ONE Measure the circumference of the lampshade and cut the two fringe trims according to your measurements, plus a little extra for a neat finish at the end. TWO Lay the lampshade on its side on a table. Starting from the inside seam of the lampshade, run a thin layer of glue along the bottom edge, about 4cm long. Then, position the shorter fringe trim on the glue, making sure it’s straight. Secure with a peg until dry.
