The Vogue Years (CAMDEN DELUXE, 2001) There’s too much filler to make any of Hardy’s 1962-7 LPs essential, but cherry picking the “mechanical music” brings perspective to her progression from sad folk-pop ingénue to psychedelic existentialist, a course that left most of her peers in her wake and showcased the drive that made her one of a kind. Comment Te Dire Adieu (DISQUES VOGUE, 1968) Hardy says goodbye to both Disques Vogue and the yé-yé years by covering her favourite singer-songwriters – Serge Gainsbourg, Phil Ochs, Leonard Cohen, Antônio Carlos Jobim.
