Frank’s eldest talks Dad, family and “spelunking in hell” for her memoir.

BORN IN 1967, Moon Unit Zappa was the first of four Zappa siblings – Dweezil, Ahmet and Diva duly followed. Her middle name was chosen because father Frank, already a huge counterculture figure, declared the Zappa family was now a ‘unit’. Moon achieved some public notoriety of her own when Frank had her mimic some of the Encino girls at her school for what became a massive 1982 hit, Valley Girl.
