THOSE STILL awaiting a follow-up to Led Zeppelin’s 1976 concert movie The Song Remains The Same need wait no more. Becoming Led Zeppelin, the band’s first official documentary, is imminent, having enjoyed its premiere at September’s Venice Film Festival. As the title suggests, it focuses on Led Zeppelin’s rootsand early years. “When [director] Bernard MacMahon and [co-producer] Allison McGourty first approached me, I thought. Gosh, they’ve got it, they really understand what happened,” Page tells MOJO. The film’s first 60 minutes, however, explore the band members’ lives growing up in post-war Britain. “Showing how Led Zeppelin came together and what elements dictated it,” says Page, whose time as a ‘60s session musician comes under particular scrutiny. “I DON’T REMEMBER A THING.
