This is part one of a two-parter. Ed Like a lot of men my age I have very fond memories of the old TV programme Robin of Sherwood. I was warned that it wouldn’t hold up on being revisited, but it absolutely does. Each episode is short, relatively self contained and it doesn’t look (unlike a lot of contemporary programmes set in the middle ages) like it was filmed at the bottom of a mine using a potato that was painted black. If you’re not familiar; Robin of Sherwood was produced in the 1980s. It’s a telling of the Robin Hood legend that portrays the Merry Men as Anglo-Saxon guerillas sticking it to the Normans.
