TRUCKS ASSEMBLE FOR ANNIVERSARY

■ The Mini pickup enjoyed its diamond anniversary in 2021, having been launched way back in 1961. The Mini Pickup International Club had big plans to mark the occasion, although unfortunately their efforts were stymied by Covid; however, this year they were able to regroup and put on a real show in order to properly commemorate the beloved utilitarian Mini variant that they hold so dear. “We had an unbelievable turnout of twenty-five Mini Pickups in all conditions arriving to celebrate with us at Gaydon – that’s a record-breaking number,” enthuses club chairman Dee Fragos. “We even had people show up hauling trailers loaded with their projects, just to share the fun with us.
