Future’s first days

Our Minis Contributor MINI LIFE Been fortunate to drive many over the years as a vehicle journalist, from one of the last Rover 1.3i Coopers back-to back with the first R50s, loads of ‘60s ‘70s and ‘80s classics, Cooper S, 1275GT, Moke, Minibased kit cars, a chopped autotest special, and the last BL ‘Works’ competition Mini ever made. But I’ve only owned two. MINI SPEC 2022 F56 Cooper SE. It is in Midnight Black metallic with Level 2 trim and thankfully on 17” Tentacle spoke wheels, not the 3-pin socket monstrosities. It was delivered new on 2nd November 2022. MINIS OWNED R50 One D F56 Cooper SE Say ‘EV’ to most car enthusiasts and you’ll be met with apathy at best.
