MINI SPARES METAL SLIDING WINDOW CATCH SET £288 Mk1 and Mk2 Minis had chrome metal catches for the sliding windows and channels; black and white plastic catches replaced the original ones in May 1963. The original metal versions haven’t been made for a while, which is why they’re so difficult to find. Thankfully, Mini Spares now offers a premium original reproduction of the chromed metal catch set which enjoys a high quality of manufacturing and an accurate vintage style. The parts are made of Zamak (a mixture of zinc and aluminium) and manufactured by high temperature die-cast injection in a steel mould.
