For many people it just isn’t Christmas without a tree. But why not give yours the respect it deserves by letting it live a free-range life all year?

Evergreen trees have been part of December celebrations for centuries, dating back to pagan midwinter festivities. And, whether at home, at work or in town centres, the ritual of decorating and enjoying the tree is one to savour and enjoy. Some trees arrive through the post, like the tiny trees delivered by Bloom & Wild. Others are sent from one nation to another, like the traditional Trafalgar Square tree given to London by the people of Oslo each year. For the majority of us, though, our Christmas tree is either brought down from the loft in a box and reassembled, or netted and thrown into the boot of the car at a local market or garden centre.
