Looking ahead to this week’s WSBK clash at Portimao 1 Time to rethink The drama and politics have been brewing for some time. In recent years, ‘Super Concessions’ have been introduced which allow teams who struggled in the previous season to bend the rules and run parts on their bikes which wouldn’t ordinarily be allowed. This means different sets of technical rules for each manufacturer. Whenever somebody gets to run something special, it has resulted in a culture of everybody else moaning until they get something themselves. Is it time the teams and manufacturers worked together to develop a single set of rules? Manufacturers very rarely agree, so WSBK could benefit from a committee such as IRTA in MotoGP to represent the teams as one; this would certainly help them…
