Rider’s DIY bodge after pothole strike

When a young learner rider found himself on the wrong side of a particularly nasty pothole, he decided to take the DIY approach to repairs. Upon discovering his front wheel was dented and no longer holding air, the biker attempted to bash it back into shape – which, unsurprisingly, didn’t exactly go to plan. “It was a Chinese Lexmoto 125 of some description,” said Keith Bousfield, owner of Inverness Motorcycles. “The customer claimed to have just caught a pothole and said that’s what caused the damage, but in reality, it looked like he’d made an attempt to straighten it himself with a hammer, causing it to crack. “He came in looking to get it fixed, but the problem is, especially all the way up here, it’s difficult to find somewhere…
