The weather’s been so nice, hasn’t it? So of course I’ve been wanting to ride my own bikes, and decided to get my four-cylinder Kawasaki 500 out. I didn’t ride it last year so it’s been in my shed, leaning up against the wall, because it hasn’t got a mainstand and I like to keep them upright. So I pulled it backwards and put it on its sidestand and left it overnight, and when I got back to it in the morning there was the biggest pool of oil I’ve ever seen in my life! It was three feet in diameter and filled the space between the front and rear wheels. A massive flood of black, shiny oil – gearbox oil. It was a horror scene. I thought: “Oh my…
