After Martin Dickinson retired from a career made up of being in the police force, the army and the prison service, he didn't take a load off and think he'd done enough - he just couldn't sit still. So, instead of sticking on the slippers and grabbing the nearest book, he put his time to good use and became the brains and the drive behind the annual Ride to the Wall (RTTW). Thanks to Martin, every year in October thousands of motorcyclists from all over the country, and the world, descend on the National Memorial Arboretum in Burton-onTrent to pay their respects to the fallen.
