The BMW R1300GS comes in two main options – R1300GS or R1300GS Adventure with the standard bike's prices starting at £16,470 and the Adventure's at £18,870. Both use the same 1300cc engine (with identical gear ratios), but the ‘big tank’ Adventure is the more rugged option and as such comes with 20mm more suspension travel front and rear, spoked wheels, a taller seat height (870/890mm) and a 30-litre tank (up 11 litres on the GS). As a result, it weighs 32kg more wet.
