Chilly Willy gets bigger

The annual Chilly Willy Charity Ride Out returns on Sunday, January 12 in aid of The Air Ambulance Service, who cover Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Warwickshire, and Northamptonshire. With the event now entering its eleventh year, organisers are expecting attendance figures to grow north of 1000 riders, with the starting venue of Northampton Active, on Bedford Road, chosen to accommodate the larger crowd. A corresponding fundraising target of £10,000 has been laid out, which would greatly exceed last year's total of around £8000, raised by 823 attendees on the day. With riders gathering from 10am, the circa 20-mile ride will begin at midday, taking in a scenic route through Olney and nearby villages.
