Husker du Hunters, der Al Pacino & Co gjorde absurd komikk ut av (etterlatte) jøders nazikamp? Serien var satt til nåtiden, med tilbakeblikk til etterkrigstiden. Det er nærmest et tilsvarende grep Jonathan Nolan og Lisa Joy (Westworld) forsøker seg på, med denne post-atomiske apokalypsen, basert på spillet Fallout. Videospillet ble sluppet på markedet allerede i 1997, og Hollywood-moguler har i mange år sirklet rundt ideen om en film eller serie basert på rollespillet. Visstnok har hovedmannen bak Fallout, Todd Howard, hatt møter med filmselskaper siden 2008! Heldigvis valgte Howard, og Prime Video, å satse på skaperne av sci-fi-serien Westworld til å adaptere spillet til serie. Og etter å ha tilbrakt vel åtte timer i denne fascinerende, dystopiske verdenen, kan vi konkludere med at de, stort sett, har lyktes godt. Serien kan ikke unngå…
