KLASSISK THRILLER

Den moderniserte remaken av thrillerklassikeren imponerer.

SkyShowtime er nok for de aller fleste assosiert med tidenes mest populære cowboy-såpeserie, Yellowstone (med avtroppende Kevin Costner i hovedrollen). Nå slipper strømmetjenesten en splitter ny originalserie, basert på thrillerklassikeren Sjakalen (1973, med Edward Fox i hovedrollen), The Day of the Jackal. I remaken får vi se den særegne karakterskuespilleren Eddie Redmayne (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Den danske piken) gestalte rollen som den iskalde, kyniske leiemorderen. Miniserien er basert på romanen til den politiske thrillerforfatteren Frederick Forsyth – en bok som opprinnelig ble filmatisert i 1973, men også kom som remake i 1997 (med Bruce Willis og Richard Gere i hovedrollene); for øvrig en film som skapte så mye kontrovers at Forsyth forlangte å bli fjernet fra rulleteksten.
