STONE WEAVING Be it a river, a lake, or the ocean, I find being close to water deeply soul-soothing. I can highly recommend a walk near one of the above to find a suitable stone, combined with a bit of weaving while listening to the movement of the water. One of the things I love about stone weaving is that you can fit all the materials and equipment you'll need in a small pocket. MATERIALS & EQUIPMENT NEEDED: • A stone, or piece of driftwood (finding one with flattish edges will help prevent the warp from sliding off) • Warp yarn (I'm using naturally dyed linen) • Weft materials (I'm using naturally dyed linen) • Scissors • Tapestry needle • Paper tape (useful but not essential) STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS: Editor's Note: see images…
