Straeon Cymru

Blwyddyn Darganfod ydy 2019. Y tro yma, dan ni’n darganfod chwedlau Cymru. Fiona Collins ydy Dysgwr y Flwyddyn ac mae hi’n hoffi adrodd straeon a chwedlau Cymru. Yma, mae hi’n ateb cwestiynau lingo newydd.

Fiona, pam dach chi’n hoffi adrodd chwedlau? Yn yr 1980au, ro’n i’n athrawes yn Llundain. Ro’n i’n perfformio sioeau plant ac yn creu straeon o flaen cynulleidfa. Roedd rhai o’r straeon yn dda – a rhai ddim! Roedd fy syniadau i’n dod o chwedlau neu nofelau ro’n i wedi darllen, o ffilmiau neu ddramâu. Wedyn, yn 1988, es i i [yl adrodd straeon yn y Royal Festival Hall. Clywais i bobl o bob rhan o’r byd yn adrodd chwedlau traddodiadol. Gofynnais i gwestiwn i fi fy hun: “Pam ydw i’n creu straeon gyda fy ymennydd bach unig, pan mae pobl yn adrodd rhai straeon ers canrifoedd?” Felly, dechreuais i adrodd chwedlau traddodiadol. Dan ni’n arfer darllen a gweld pethau ar sgrin. Ydy hi’n anodd cael pobl i wrando? Mae llawer o athrawon (a rhieni) wedi dweud…
