Quand une clique obscurantiste veut prendre le pouvoir, il lui faut toujours cibler l’école pour la contrôler. Contrôler ce qui se raconte dans les classes, la manière dont l’Histoire est écrite, quels textes sont étudiés, ce qu’il sera autorisé de dire. Et ce qui ne le sera pas. Aussi faut-il rendre hommage, toujours, à la trop méconnue Hypatie – et la proximité de son nom avec celui de Paty n’en finit pas de sidérer. Mathématicienne, astronome, philosophe et enseignante, Hypatie, dont le nom venait du grec hypatos, « le plus haut », fut assassinée par des extrémistes…
