Jonathan Littell et Antoine d’Agata signent avec Un endroit inconvénient un document sur la violence, en Ukraine, hier et aujourd’hui.

Il y a quelque chose d’incongru à voir là, chez Gallimard, autour d’un thé vert fumant, ces deux camarades de bourlingue, enfants des années 1960 habitués des zones de guerre. Ils signent avec Un endroit inconvénient un ouvrage à quatre mains – Jonathan Littell pour le texte, Antoine d’Agata à la photo –, un livre incandescent qui nous transporte dans une Ukraine à la fois lointaine et proche, ravagée par la barbarie d’hier et d’aujourd’hui. L’« endroit inconvénient », c’est Babyn Yar, le théâtre du massacre par balles de 33 771 Juifs de Kyiv, en 1941, bientôt rejoints par des milliers d’autres victimes.
