This year’s 382 student project submissions earned praise from the juries for thinking globally and providing ambitious solutions to overwhelming, long-term challenges. The juries—chaired by Aida M. Curtis, FASLA, the president of Curtis + Rogers Design Studio, and Dalton M. LaVoie, ASLA, a landscape architect with Stantec—were impressed with the sophistication of the student designs, particularly calling out projects that offered small yet powerful perspective shifts.
