Earlier this summer, Lisa Prosper opened her talk at the Alliance for Historic Landscape Preservation conference in Toronto with a working definition of a cultural landscape, one that she had revised over many years. This might seem like a routine boundary-drawing exercise, a necessary step when your work is undervalued and unseen by policy makers and other designers.
