Die sterk vraag na Meatmasters blyk uit die byna 100%-verkoopsyfer op die nasionale Meatmaster-veiling wat op 15 Augustus in Bloemfontein gehou is. Teelmateriaal van Collett Farming van Clynton Collett en Mario du Preez by Bethulie was veral in aanvraag en dié telers het die twee duurste ramme verkoop. Die ram CC 230017 is vir R70 000 aan Duncan Cairns, ’n kommersiële teler van Yield Agri, Bloemfontein, verkoop. CC 230017 is ’n seun van die bekende stoetvaar Next Door van dr. Johan Steyn van Ben Tson, Hanover. Die ram CC 220600 is vir R55 000 aan Louis Holtzhausen van die plaas Geluksfontein by Dendron verkoop. Dié ram is ’n seun van die stoetvaar Zondo, wat in Februarie 2024 vir R100 000 aan Riaan Botha van Britstown verkoop is. Die duurste ooi…
