I emigrated from France to Australia in 1995, and it didn’t take me long to realise that I’d need a 4x4 to be able to explore this fantastic country to the full. So, within a year, I’d bought a 4.0-litre V8 Discovery 1 and joined the Sydney branch of the Land Rover of Australia Club. I completed all the off-road driving courses the club offered and set off on my voyage of discovery – which is still far from complete. Ever since buying the Disco, it’s been Land Rovers all the way. I bought my Range Rover new in June 2018, so it’s the facelifted version with the fabulous Touch Pro Duo infotainment system. It has lots of party tricks – which still puts a huge smile on my face each time…
