The Howling Moon roof tent on Scott’s Defender takes a bit of time to get properly set up – but it’s well worth the effort. It makes for a super-snug bolthole when the weather turns cold and rainy. Imagine gazing out from in there as the sun rises over a Welsh lake – that’s the sort of ultimate ‘hotel room’ that money simply can’t buy. If the nights are balmy enough and Scott is just camping overnight he’ll sleep under the ARB awning, which can be unzipped and out in minutes. He’s not so thrilled with the roof rack – he bought a cheap ‘n’ cheerful one off eBay, and ‘it weighs an absolute tonne’.…
