NEW SONY HANDHELD COMING? Reports have emerged that Sony is working on a new handheld device, one cable of playing PlayStation 5 games natively. That means, playing them on the device, not from the cloud or streamed from a console, like we saw with the PlayStation Portal device. Sony’s last handheld was called the Vita, but it’s unlikely this new device will be called the Vita 2. Sony wants to go up against the Switch and also PC gaming handhelds like Steam Deck, as well as counter the Xbox handheld in development at Microsoft. Whatever happens, it will have to be some impressive hardware to play PS5 games on a portable device.
