If you’ve been around knives for any length of time you can’t help but know the name Kit Carson. Kit was a 20-year Army veteran and retired as a Master Sergeant. He began making knives the year he entered the service, way back in 1972. Over the years, Kit became well-known for his custom folders with military-themed names like the M16, the M21 and the M4. He was even better known, perhaps, as a mentor to generations of knife makers, including legends like Ken Onion.
