“FRAMED FOR MURDER?” At 20 years old, traveling for six weeks in Europe with USA Team members for slalom kayaking, I was open to adventure. It seemed to find me as much as I found it. Bourg St. Maurice, France, has one of the best slalom courses in the world, and we were training and racing there. The USA Team had a camp set up just downstream of the course on river left. My tent was next to Rich Weiss’. It started on Bastille Day; we ate at our favorite pizza joint before heading to watch the fireworks in the square.
