It was recently announced that the 2023 World Championships for Freestyle will take place on Good Wave in Columbus, GA, USA. So, this time, we are looking at some of the basics of wave boating to get you in shape! FIRST STEP — RAIL DRIVE FOR THE ROUNDHOUSE To go from simple surfing to throwing your boat into the air, you will need to learn the rail drive. To experiment with rail drive, first you will need to set up the boat at the top of the wave and start the acceleration towards the trough. As you start going down the wave, push your feet down to do a small hop. Once you master cycling to the top of the wave and trying your rail hops, it is time to try a roundhouse.…
