Soca is one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe, and as a bonus, it offers several tributaries. The most extra bonus is the right side tributary, the Ucja. The Ucja is an incredible, full-on river with only one drawback: it flows only a few days a year after heavy rains. Plus, you don't want too much or too little water. However, this spring was Ucja season, and this sometimes hard-to-catch classic ran frequently. Therefore, during the spring, the Ucja was paddled by several international groups and a solid number of local groups. The Ucja put-in is right on the border between Italy and Slovenia (at the old Italian customs house).
