COOL, CALM, AND COLLECTED IN NORWAY ASK TIDEMANN-FOLDVIK Being cool under pressure, calm in extreme situations, and collected as you manage risks and make decisions should be a goal of every paddler. 14-yearold Ask Tidemann-Foldvik is already there. I caught up with Ask this Fall while he was paddling in the Soja Valley. Ask was unlike any other 14-year-old I have interviewed. Thoughtful with his answers and observations, direct with his points, and in possession of a tremendous ability to hold an interview in a second language, Ask's passion for Whitewater and calculated, pragmatic pragmatic approach will certainly set him up for a bright future.
