The first weekend of September saw the much-awaited return of the Dewerstone Euro Open, hosted in Nottingham. The weekend was packed full of fun both on and off the water. Day one was freestyle day, with everyone getting involved. The novices took to Jaws, throwing paddle spins, flipping their kayaks, and going for the big moves. They certainly kept the safety busy! The intermediates and experts were down in Troll hole under the bridge.They battled it out to make the evening finals, where the British Champions and Euro Open Champions were crowned. Ben Higson took junior men's Kl, Niamh Macken junior women Kl, Ibbo the C1M, Lowri Davies the Cl W and K1W, then Ireland's David McClure won Kl M with Harry Price taking the British Champion title.
