Once just a vision, then a low-key gathering of Iceland's modest Whitewater community, the Midnight Sun Whitewater Festival has bloomed into one of the great lesser-known river festivals on the circuit. A decade ago, Class III water was common ground for inclusion and maximum participation. Today, thundering glacial rapids, big horizon lines, and blinding midnight rays are a fitting stage for this celebration of classic Icelandic Whitewater of the type the world has come to know.
