After a gap of two long years due to the pandemic, the Tourism Department of Kerala was stoked to organize the eighth edition of the Malabar River Festival, in good old Kodenchery, Kozhikode district, Kerala. The event was supported by the Indian Kayak and Canoe Association (IKCA). The Goodwave Adventures mafia from Bangalore gate-crashed the party and provided the much-needed technical direction for the show. The festival was met with great enthusiasm from the Indian Whitewater kayaking community. There were close to 60 paddlers in attendance from all parts of the country, along with a few kayakers from Nepal.
