The Vefsna Elvefestival is held in Trofors, Northern Norway, where snowmelt and liquid sunshine keep the rivers running all summer. The festival brings together kayakers from all over the world to enjoy prime conditions on world-class rivers and evenings around the campfire. A special highlight this year was the pinball race: six teams (each team comprising three kayakers) chased yoga balls down the rapids of the Austervefsna, starting below Ragnarokk rapid. Elysium was the rapid to watch: Competitors spectacularly dropped into a hole while putting up a good fight for their balls. Later, everyone jumped into the rafts for the RiverNorth rafting competition on the Festival run.
