The Maine Whitewater Championship's tenth year proved to be one of the best yet, with record-breaking participation, live jams under the stars, and paddlers coming out from all over the country (and world)! On June 18th, paddlers gathered in The Forks for a time trial race through the crashing waves of the Kennebec Gorge, followed by a mass start race. Jackson paddler Beckham Bayreuther threw down the fastest time (11: 11.6) in the time trial, followed by Drew Bates (11:38.2) and Eli Ross (11:39.8). In the women's division, Jackson paddler Alex Horne took first (11:59.3), Maddie Lee second (12:50.4) and Rachel Nieckarz third (12:50.8).
