FREESTYLE, UNLOCKED It was a challenge like no other since Worlds at Mini Bus, Canada, in 2007, when the wave came in just before the event. Few have competed long enough to remember that event, and the drought before the 2023 World Championships gave anyone who came early to train goosebumps. Trying to make the most of it, athletes still went out, doing their best to prepare and dial in their technique. However, the difference between the shape of Good Wave at 4500 cfs vs. 7800 cfs was huge. It was literally a different wave.
