In early August 2024, after descending the Upper Jore with their students, the EWWS coaching crew, Quim Fontane, Otger Soler, David McClure, Urko Cot, and Ewan Murray still had the itch for more paddling. Fortunately, Quim knew of a potential first descent on the nearby Sørhelläi River. Without overthinking it, they crossed the valley in search of the river. Upon reaching what seemed to be the take-out, they scouted the final rapid visible on satellite maps (a big slide). It didn't take long for them to discover the hidden gem.
