DOCTOR RIVER WHAT'S UP DOC? Have you ever gone for a stern squirt or flipped unintentionally only to wake up the next day with painful pressure in your face water still dripping out your nose? Sinusitis is a common problem for many paddlers. The good news is that it can often be prevented. WHAT ARE YOUR SINUSES? The sinuses are four air-filled cavities located on either side of your nose and above each of your eyebrows. They connect to your nose and provide mucus to lubricate and help clear pathogens from your nasal passages. They also help humidify the air you breathe.
