For the 17th consecutive year, the Alseseca Race brought together paddlers, passionate river lovers, and the entire community of Tlapacoyan and Atzalan, Veracruz. As Mexico’s only extreme kayak race, it is a festival of friendship and adventure, as well as environmental awareness. As the event continues to grow, it has become a powerful movement for river conservation. Winding through basalt rock canyons, narrow gorges, and breathtaking waterfalls, the Alseseca is more than just a racecourse; it is a cause, a reminder of the importance of protecting these natural treasures.
