Class 2/17 - “Out sick.” It was Friday, and Isaac Hull and Finn Gardner were on the way to Fayetteville after a long week of exams and more importantly, a week of rain. Hull spent Thursday impatiently refreshing gauges after seeing the Meadow already at 1200 CFS, with more than an inch of rain still coming. After a late night out, Hull and Gardner checked the gauge one last time: it was at 5000 and still rising. Friday would be spent on micro creeks. The boys stumbled to Keeney Creek out of luck. They were trying to meet local Corey Lilly, but Virginia Tech is a two-hour drive from Fayetteville, and Lilly wanted to start early.
