THE FLOW OF FREESTYLE FEATURING: MAKINLEY KATE HARGROVE Makinley Kate Hargrove comes from a family who has shaped their lives around rivers, chasing the perfect freestyle feature at the perfect moment. At 15, Makinley Kate already boasts an impressive list of accomplishments. She is a former Jackson Kayak Little Shredder and is now a member of their Region Team. Last year, as the youngest athlete on the 2022 US freestyle team, she earned the highest ever single-ride score by a junior woman in an ICF event at the Nottingham World Championships, where she took home a bronze medal. A few months later, she won the 2022 USA Junior Women's National Championship and earned two gold medals at the ICF Freestyle World Cup on her home river, the Chattahoochee. I caught…
