In India’s northeastern corner, draining off the eastern side of the Himalayas and weaving between countries and cultures is a braided network of rivers with whitewater some call the best they’ve ever paddled. Arunachal Pradesh is home to one of the world’s largest drainages, and the endless potential for high-quality whitewater in the Land of the Dawn-Lit Mountains should be no surprise. Still, navigating a trip to Arunachal Pradesh is nearly as complex as the rapids and rivers it holds; a reminder to trust the process and enjoy the ride.
