Thanks to frequent rains during the spring, the European kayaking community was gifted a great start to the season in nearly every region of the Alps and the Piedmont region in northern Italy. Many kayakers came together to enjoy the prime flows during May and June. One of the very classic runs around the famous Valsesia is the Lower Mastallone, which ends at the confluence of the Sesia in Varallo. But fewer paddlers know about this absolutely beautiful park-andhuck gem. Located far up the valley, waiting for everyone who is searching for a nice little freefall experience is the Landwasser drop.
