Every summer athletes from across the state, country, and world convene to enjoy the superb whitewater playground the Rocky Mountain snowmelt provides. The annual ‘Colorado Tour’ has been a staple of the competitive whitewater scene for decades. With plenty of rivers, paddling partners, concerts, and competitions each week, what could be better? How about the added incentive of fun freestyle competitions every weekend? Started in 2023, the Colorado Cup series combines freestyle competition results from CKS Paddlefest, GoPro Mountain Games, and FIBArk, rewarding the athletes with top overall points. Open to Junior and Senior athletes, the event series added over $5,300 in cash and prizes this year in addition to the individual event prizes.
