Raised by parents who were raft guides and kayak instructors at the infamous Nantahala Outdoor Center in North Carolina (USA), Pat Keller remembers his passion for whitewater beginning early, one family story at a time. In a canoe at age 3 and a kayak by 7, his enthusiasm was further fueled by hours of tinkering with foam boaters on local creeks and endless repetitions of ‘90s kayaking films. From early teenage freestyle and creeking phenom, to master of waterfalls, innovator of downriver freestyle, and lightning fast racer, Keller is a whitewater artist whose style only gets smoother the steeper and harder it gets.
