AARON ANDERSON AND THE REVIVAL OF THE OREGON KAYAK SCENE The US State of Oregon, once a mecca for pro-kayakers, has slowly fallen out of the spotlight. Instead, those turning their gaze on the West Coast seem mesmerized by the big-water of Idaho, the waterfalls of Washington, and the granite of California. Let’s be honest: who can blame them for this tunnel-vision approach to the West Coast’s highly publicized lands of plenty. But what about Oregon? Runs like Lake Creek, the Miracle Mile, Opal Creek, and features like Redsides, Spencer’s Hole, Clover, and Bob’s Hole seem like names from a different era.
